License Server Installation

Windows

1. Double click on the Craft License Server.exe to start the Craft License Server Installation.
   
   
2. Click next to install the files to the computer. The files will be installed to the default directory C:\Program Files\Craft Animations\Licenses.
   
   
3. Click Next > to continue.
4. It is recomended to keep the Start license server automatically checked. This will also start the license server automatically each time the computer starts.
   Click Finish to finish the installation.
   
   
5. To install a floating license see Installing floating licenses.

Linux/Mac

1. Unpack the CraftLicenseServer.tar.gz to a desired folder.
2. To start the server, type the command "./rlm" without the quotes in the folder where the files were installed.

Installing floating licenses

Installing floting licenses on license server.

Windows

1. Copy the license file (filename.lic) to C:\Program Files\Craft Animations\Licenses.
2. The license server needs to be restarted in order for the license to work. To restart the server go to Start -> Programs -> Craft Animations -> License Server -> Configure License Server to open the Reprise License Server Administration.
   
   The Reprise License Server Administration can also be opened from a web browser by typing http://<ip>:9000/ in the address bar. Example: http://192.168.1.2:9000/
   
   
3. In the menu click Status and then click the craftanim button under REREAD/RESTART.
   
   
4. Now the licenses are installed correctly on the server. Go to Client Computer Configuration to learn how to configure client computers.

Linux/Mac

License file (filename.lic)

1. Copy the license file to the same folder that Craft License Server was installed to.
2. The license server needs to be restarted in order for the license to work. Open the Reprise License Server Administration from a web browser by typing http://127.0.0.1 in the address bar.
   
   The Reprise License Server Administration can also be opened from a web browser by typing http://<ip>:9000/ in the address bar. Example: http://192.168.1.2:9000/
   
   
3. In the menu click Status and then click the craftanim button under REREAD/RESTART.
   
   
4. Now the licenses are installed correctly on the server. Go to Client Computer Configuration to learn how to configure client computers.

Client Computer Configuration

1. Open a text editor.
2. Type HOST [server ip or hostname] [server hardwareID] [Port].
   Example #1: "HOST CraftServer 001bfc9c957b 28000"
   Example #2: "HOST 241.48.75.107 001bfc9c957b 28000"
3. Save the file as a .lic file. The filename is optional.
   Example: "Craft.lic"
4. Copy the filename.lic file to C:\Program Files\Craft Animations\Licenses on the client computers.
   Example: "C:\Program files\Craft Animations\Licenses\Craft.lic"
5. The license file is now correctly installed and ready to be used from client computer.
